Anime You May Not Have Watched [Working Title]

This is a question I get asked alot…

Sorry for the shorter video this week, I had intended on a proper review but a head-cold and sore throat got the better of me and this is something I had previously recorded. To make it up to you I edited this for your viewing pleasure! Enjoy, and I’ll see you next week!

Lesser known anime that are a must watch in my mind? Fantastic children, and Katanagatari.

  • machineking35

is that a blue eyes shinning dragon poster behind the monitor ?

  • Digdri

Seems someone likes himself some ExtraCredits, doesn’t it? ;P

Joking aside… I really like this new idea. Thats really fitting for the broad spectrum of animes with all its lesser know masterpieces.
Would really appreciate more of this in the future even if I’ve already seen most of those hidden gems (or at least know of their reputation as such). Still its always great to have something like this to pass to a friend with a quick note like “You wanna see something you totally would expect from this medium?”

Also: your trailer was great…. really putting the Awesome in RWoA :)
And IMO its funny how this review week has almost become an extension of this list with at least two series I would put in the ‘lesser know’ category. Really curious to see your opinions.

WEel there were a few here that I’ve seen already or plan to watch, one or two that I have no interest in watching though. But I had heard of everything here.

Also, on the ‘suggest a less well known show’ front, I have three.

    Bokurano
    Kaiba
    Seraphim Call

Think about these, only Seraphim call has been licensed.

Inception music makes everything awesome. And amplifies the awesomeness of all that is already awesome.

Wait. The REVIEW WEEK of awesome is next week?! Awesome

  • KingZeoX

Okay! Things to add to your list that I can name of the top of my head…
Toradora!, as for some reason closing in on “Beyond The Impossible”, this is still pretty obscure.
    The World God Only Knows
    Tsukuyomi: Moonphase

Massugu Ni Ikou is an oh-so-cute doggie anime that I think hasn’t enough fans. I really would buy this anime series (and it’s sequel series) on DVD if they’d dub it so younger kids could watch it.

  • Kane

Already saw most f them the only ones I have not are Genshiken (SP?) and EF.

  • Krn6197

I haven’t seen any of these, but plan to watch many of them.
    Here’s some anime,
    Kaiba
    Dead Leaves
    Hakuouki
    Kiniro no Corda: Primo Passo
    Kino no tabi.

  • E Cahill39

You should see Baka to Test on Funimation (but only in Japanese and English subs)

  • Veryatheringofice

I’m really looking forward to Ef–waiting for the price to come down. I write novels, so the idea of a girl who wants to write a novel but can’t because she forgets things every day is very intriguing to me.

Seen Planetes, Pale Cocoon, Shigofumi. All very nice.

I second Fantastic Children. Little known, unique, epic gem of a series, and a show that I struggle to find any real flaws in.

Im so happy you put phantom:requiem for the phantom in this vid. It’s one of my top 5 animes and I was shocked at how unknown it is. I’m glad to see someone influential in he youtube anime world promoting it. You think you could do a review on it one time?

  • StatisticalAnomaly

I am extremely sad that nobody has mentioned Redline yet, although I am glad that you mentioned Planetes

  • tantei okuou

    KINDAICHI SHONEN NO JIKEMBO
NO ONE knows about this and every person who love detective conan/ case closed I tell them they need to watch it and READ the MANGA of tantei gakuen Q, why the manga because the anime is a horrible adaptation of it

Rozen Maiden is awsome i recomen

  • Cooperhannah

    Tsubasa Chronicles

    • http://www.glassreflection.net/ Arkada

Really? Considering it’s a CLAMP title and there is a whole gigantic fan-base that is just CLAMP fans, let alone all the Tsubasa specific fans I think it’s covered.

  • Mdude009

“Now and then, here and there” is a great anime that I would highly recommend. Just don’t go into it expecting anything lighthearted or crazy action scenes, this is more of an extreme tearjerker.

  • Jkpop

Phantom is sooooooo fking tragic it makes me wanna rip my own heart out
